The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach, and the staff are super friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, though the noise from the pub downstairs can get a bit loud at night. A decent stay with great amenities for the price!

The location was convenient, just a stone's throw from the heart of town, making it easy to grab meals and shop. I particularly enjoyed the lovely new bathrooms which were clean and modern. The kitchen facilities were a great bonus, allowing me to prepare light meals during my stay. The air conditioning really helped combat the warm weather, and I loved relaxing on the spacious balcony after a long day of meetings. The staff were also helpful and accommodating, making my experience all the more pleasant.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short stroll to the beach and close to shops and cafes, which makes exploring super easy! I loved the clean and tidy rooms, and the showers were really nice, too. A pleasant surprise was the shared kitchen feature; it was great to have that option for snacks or meals. Plus, the staff were friendly and ready to help if I needed anything.
I did have some trouble with noise at night. The doors slamming and sounds from downstairs made it hard to get a good night's sleep. the traffic outside in the morning was pretty loud, which didn’t help either. It’s just something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper!

To my delight, the hotel featured a versatile Lounge Bar space, perfect for soaking up Coolangatta's relaxed coastal atmosphere. I also enjoyed the Kirrabelle Kitchen, which offered delicious, well-priced meals. The friendly staff were more than willing to serve complimentary barista-made coffees, adding a lovely touch to my mornings.

I couldn't catch a wink of sleep the entire night because of the loud music blasting from downstairs and drunk guests yelling outside my door. It felt like I was stuck in a nightclub instead of a hotel. Definitely not going back!

the verandah was absolutely beautiful, with its traditional design and the lovely breeze that flowed through it. It was a joy to have my room open onto the verandah, allowing me to enjoy the sounds of the street all night long. the staff, especially the receptionists in the bar/restaurant downstairs, were amazing people. They were friendly and accommodating, and the food deals at the restaurant were really good. the location of the hotel, close to the beach, was perfect. I also appreciated the helpfulness of the main lady at reception, who went above and beyond to assist me with maps and bus schedules. She was always friendly and had a smile on her face. Cons: Absolutely nothing! 🙌.

I recently stayed at Coolangatta Sands for a few nights while exploring the area. The hostel had a great mattress that provided excellent comfort and support. The ground floor bar and sports lounge, along with the restaurant, made it feel more like a hostel than a hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the shared showers and toilets were clean and modern. The shared kitchen and veranda were perfect for enjoying meals outside. The location was convenient, with easy access to the beach, shops, cafes. The main lady at reception was especially kind, going above and beyond to help with directions and printing maps.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I quite enjoyed my stay at Coolangatta Sands. It was a new experience for me, as I haven't stayed in many pubs before. The veranda outside the room was beautiful and comfortable, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The room itself was spacious and had ample seating and storage options. The noise from the pub downstairs was minimal, and the staff provided earplugs just in case. The reception staff were friendly and the keycard access made coming and going easy. The comfortable bed and thin bedding were perfect for the hot summer weather. The beach was a short walk away, and there were plenty of nearby bus stops connecting to the airport and the rest of the coast. There were also cafes, restaurants, and a bottle shop conveniently located nearby. The friendly crowd staying in the hostel added to the welcoming atmosphere. I had a great stay!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
